About Me

I’m a PhD candidate in Linguistics at the CUNY Graduate Center. As a linguist and researcher, I’m interested in the union of computational and non-computational properties of language. I explore the uniquely human ways we engage with language, as well as how linguistic phenomena can be modeled across levels of grammar (in the broadest sense). Combining experimental methods with machine learning, I investigate the interaction between language and perception. I love modeling, prototyping, and experimenting with data and novel techniques in language and speech processing. At the core of my work is a commitment to building human-centric systems that are both ethically grounded and linguistically informed.
